We're home to Stone Mountain State Park, the largest State Park in North Carolina and it offers every visitor something exciting to do. It's North Carolina's "Baby Bear" Mountains and ironically home of the NC Bear Sanctuary. Explore it all while hiking, biking, trout fishing & rock climbing. 



We are also just minutes away from McRitchie Winery & Ciderworks one of the many World Class Wineries along the Upper Yadkin Valley Wine Trail and a short drive to one of thee most scenic stretches of The Blue Ridge Parkway.  (Forest Gump filmed there) Many of the other mountain attractions like New River canoeing & kayaking, and winter ski resorts are within a scenic one hour drive, which makes this area a great home base for that weekend retreat.

We are where Wilkes, Surry & Alleghany Counties
merge in the northwest corner of North Carolina. 

It took several years of exploring the mountains to find the perfect place to set up camp for our family. We found our piece of paradise and developed Creekside into the mountain refuge it is today.

For years we thought being on top of the mountain was where we wanted to be. We realized that the views are great, but after dark they disappear. The sound of water cascading all night long is the most soothing  mountain music and lets you sleep peacefully. Creekside is  at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains on the protected eastern slopes.
